OPEN Art 2004 was launched in style on Saturday night at Project Workshops in Quarley.

The workshops hosted a gala evening and private view for all the Open Artists and the team.

And over the weekend the Fairground Craft and Design Centre held a summer fair complete with demonstrations, open workshops an exhibition and sale of artwork from visiting artists, hog roast, music and refreshments.

With even more open studios, workshops, exhibitions and events, there is something to suit everyone's tastes during the two-week celebration of art in the Test Valley.

More than 80 talented artists are taking part throughout the valley.

Professional artists, amateurs, local societies and schoolchildren are all taking part in the festival.

Andover Guildhall will be a focal point for the festival this year with eight different societies and groups using the exhibition space on both floors.

And many schools in the area have been working hard in preparation for their exhibition in the Guildhall to conclude Open Art on 19 and 20 June.

Established Andover artists are opening their studios to show their new works and talk to visitors.
