MEMBERS of the Chute club all got together on Saturday to push a bed around Andover and surrounding villages to raise money in memory of two Chute women.
Nancy Dawson died at Andover War Memorial Hospital last year while Peggy Prescot died of cancer two years ago.
The £1,200 raised during the sponsored bed push will go to the hospital and Macmillan Cancer Relief. Local businesses were very supportive. The Merry Monk supplied free ale, while Andover's Chicko Land gave free meals to the 10 bed pushers.
