IT'S BAT Sports against Havant in the ECB Cockspur Cup southern zone final at Southern Gardens on Sunday, June 27.

The Southern Electric Premier League giants clinched their cup date with semi-final victories at the weekend - Havant crushing New Milton by nine wickets, and BAT battling out a 20-run victory over Falkland.

New Milton, who had put out Frome, Weymouth and Bashley (Rydal) in the previous rounds, had little prospect of further progress after Richard Hindley (3-19) and David Wade, Stephen Foulger and Phil Loat, with two wickets each, bowled them out for 97 (Nick Gargaro 23).

Havant had the tie won in barely 15 overs - Paul Gover (46) and Andy Perry (42) sharing a 95-run start.

BAT Sports had to battle hard for their success - Richard Kenway (37) and Adam Sharp (27) being prominent at the top of the order, but wickets tumbled to James Bloodworth (3-24) and Peter Randall (3-26) before Dave Adams (23) got involved in a crucial late rally.

But BAT's 175 all out proved beyond Falkland, who sank to 75-7 against veteran left-arm spinner Terry Rawlins (4-11) before Nigel Trumper's unbeaten 49 helped them close on 155-8 at stumps.
