Sir.-I read with interest that London's Mayor has labelled parents who drive their children to school in four-wheel-drive vehicles as "idiots".
At last somebody is talking sense. Where I live in Hatch Warren there are many homes with not just one large 4x4 but two!
I feel it is totally ridiculous to own and use one of these types of cars for short journeys in built-up areas.
May I join Ken Livingstone in labelling the users of such vehicles in the community as imbeciles?
