Sir.-Regarding the ongoing issue of humps in Basingstoke.
We also have the "hump" in Chineham - but ours is different to all the others.
About seven years ago, a hump (man-made) appeared in Old Reading Road but there were no signs or painted trianges to indicate one.
Everyone in Chineham knows it's there, but, sadly, the thousands of visiting drivers don't know about it - with consequent results.
