CHALLENGE: Great Binfields Primary School will be taking part in the annual Hampshire Solar Car Challenge.

The challenge is for primary schools to assemble and design a model car powered by solar energy, and to take part in a local race day and "best body" competition.

Let's wish them well for the local heat, which takes place on Tuesday.

GARDEN competition: It's never too soon to start thinking about entering Chineham's gardening competition.

Judging is planned for July/August, and application forms and further details can be obtained from the assistant parish clerk, contact details as below.

PARISH clerk: All administration responsibilities are passed on to the assistant clerk, Gillian Baker.

Although telephone, e-mail and postal material will all be redirected for the time being, it is probably best to contact Mrs Baker direct.

You can write to her via PO Box 7236, Hook, Hampshire, RG27 9ZN, telephone 761790 or e-mail planning@chineham.gov.uk

WASTE: For those residents interested in waste collection and/or recycling, it is important to continue to feed back your thoughts on how you believe current arrangements might be improved.

There is an ongoing review being carried out by the borough council Environment Policy Development Panel and any relevant observations will be made known to the panel.

The panel's meetings are open to the public, and further details can be obtained by calling the Civic Offices on 844844.

CHINEHAM Village Club: Tomorrow, from 8.30pm you can enjoy Reggae Gold.
