Several youngsters have already signed up for the new Young Masters Golf bronze course run by top women's coach Katie Dawkins at the Hamptworth Club.
The course is a programme developed by PGA professionals to help young people aged between six and 16 to start playing golf.
Coaching sessions will be held at noon on each Saturday, although other courses are available for juniors at Hamptworth.
Former county youth champion Katie said: "The YMG programme gives children in the area the perfect introduction to golf by showing them everything they need to know to enjoy the game for the rest of their lives. They learn about all the different shots and how to play them as well as the rules and etiquette of golf."
