Some cracking bass have again been recorded, with Keith Passant heading to Southbourne where he landed his first-ever fish, a beauty that tipped the scales down to 11lb 8oz.
Passant, who has only been fishing for 12 months, used mackerel fished at close range on a Shakespeare Onset telescopic along with a budget reel to tempt the specimen just before midnight. He went on to bag a number of smaller fish weighing 4lb to round off a memorable night.
