FORMER Sports Minister Kate Hoey is giving support in her new role as President of the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association by attending the Hampshire Deaf Association charity shoot at the Somerley Estate, Ringwood on May 7.

Joining the MP, who is passionate about shooting, will be The Earl of Normanton, President of the Hampshire Deaf Association and teams of shooters representing local businesses all keen to raise more than £20,000 for this local worthwhile charity.

Hoey was one of only six Labour MPs who voted to keep pistol shooting in the country. With Andover's Richard Faulds just months away from defending his Olympic gold, her support brings the media spotlight on a sport in which Britain excels.
