HE is mad about films and - despite his chronic asthma - is desperate to swim with dolphins.

Bradley Rigg's dreams are set to come true if his family manage to raise enough money for him to go on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Disneyland, Florida, in October.

Bradley, 12, a pupil at Bridgemary Community School, Gosport, suffers from rare brittle asthma.

He carries a syringe pack at all times and is in constant need of steroid drugs.

His condition is so unpredictable it can be set off at any time, often causing him to be taken to hospital - five times so far this year alone.

Despite his illness he still wants to have fun and after a spell in hospital his family set up a special appeal to raise money for the holiday.

Bradley's parents, Jo-ann and Tony Rigg, have already raised £4,500 towards their £6,500 target for the family trip.

The Turnpike pub, Fareham, raised £3,000 and a visitor fromthe US has pledged to lend the family her house for the two-week trip.

Last week the Portrait Company set up a stall in Sainsbury's at Broadcut, Fareham, and donated money from sales of its portrait packages.

Bradley, of Brewers Lane, Gosport, said: "I like films and I'm looking forward to visiting Universal Studios.

"I want to thank everyone who has helped with my appeal."
