A SOUTHAMPTON teenager is celebrating after a sculpture she designed and made was unveiled at Marwell Zoo.

Samantha Hinwood, of Highfield, and her friend Jamie Mogg, both 18, designed the sculpture, based on the theme of animal rights, after winning a £5,000 Millennium Award.

Marwell Zoo was keen to have the sculpture and even offered the teenagers their choice of location in the zoo.

The sculpture, which features a six-foot human with three animals fleeing from his feet, was unveiled yesterday.

Samantha, who has completed a National BTec in Fine Art at Eastleigh College, said: "It was fantastic when we heard Marwell Zoo wanted it."
