FORMER hardman footballer turned Hollywood actor Vinny Jones is coming to Eastleigh.
Jones, along with ex-Saints boss Lawrie McMenemy, is to officially open a new coaching centre later this month.
The Football Result is the brainchild of ex-Saints striker Gordon Watson and entertainers Mike Osman and Richard Digance. It will be based at the Kickers Indoor Centre.
Sir Bobby Robson had been lined up to help open the facility next Friday. But Newcastle's scheduled match at St Mary's has been postponed due to UEFA Cup commitments, so Jones has stepped in for the new date of April 16.
Watson is also involved in coaching courses for youngsters taking place at Eastleigh FC all next week. Sessions are from 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday. Cost is £10 per session.
The likes of Matt Le Tissier, James Beattie, Alan Ball, McMenemy, Tony Gale, Kenny Sansom and Alvin Martin will all be handing out advice at various points in the week.
