PARISH council open day and craft fayre: This was reasonably well attended with councillors questioned on several issues.
It is hoped that this will be an annual event.
The next full council meeting is on Monday, at the Recreation Ground. Two candidates have been proposed for election.
OLD BASING Stitchcraft Group: The group is celebrating its 25th anniversary, tomorrow, with an open coffee morning in the parish room, from 10am to noon.
Work in progress will be on view and there will be a sale of plants and bric-a-brac.
IVY Club Easter fayre: At the Royal British Legion Hall, tomorrow, from 2pm to 4pm.
The club meets weekly and is open to anyone over 60.

OLD BASING Bowls Club: Another horse race night is being held, tomorrow night, in its clubhouse at the recreation ground, at 7.30pm.
For details, call Margaret on 322254 or Irene on 358053.
BASING House: Alan Turton will be giving a guided tour of the site next Friday, April 9, and the following Monday, starting at 3pm from the kiosk.
ST MARY'S Old Churchyard Conservation Group: The working party will be busy tomorrow, from 10am. If you would like to help, turn up appropriately dressed or give Mike Pavier a call on 471739.
FINALLY: Cyril Mullett is now back from sunnier climes, and will once again be the regular contributor to this column.
I would like to thank all those who assisted me during my term.
