Thornhill residents are readying themselves for the annual New Deal for Communities elections and, with just a few days to go before final nominations are due in, the anticipation is building.
Information leaflets and nomination forms have been delivered to every household in Thornhill urging those who think they could contribute to come forward and stand for election.
Elected residents will become part of the team responsible for determining how NDC funds are spent locally over the next two years.
Interim director Helen Fisher said: "The continued success of The Partnership Board is reliant on local community representation and we want to encourage as many residents as possible to come forward and stand for election."
