NEXT Chineham parish council meeting is Monday, December 8, (not January as implied in the December issue of the Chineham Chat).

So, if you have any issues to raise with the council, you should get on down to the new venue of Chineham Village Hall for 7.45pm, in time for the public session which takes place at about 8pm.

Chineham Village Club dates: On Tuesday, at 1.45pm in the lounge bar, there is another senior citizens' bingo session. This one, however, is a particularly special one, as it includes Christmas dinner! Line and house prizes are on offer.

Christ Church, Reading Road, upcoming events: The second of two study evenings to accompany the church's sermon series "Unlocking the Scriptures: Revelation Explained" will take place on Wednesday.

The study evening will give those who attend the opportunity to go deeper, discuss and ask questions about the fascinating book Applying Revelation.

It will run from 8pm until 10pm, and refreshments will be served. All are welcome.

If you have any questions regarding the evening or any other church events, please do not hesitate to contact Ruth Randall in the parish office on 474280, e-mail cchurch@surfaid.org or visit the website at www.christ churchchineham.org.uk

CHRISTMAS fair: Great Binfields Primary School's third Christmas fair is to be held on Friday, December 12, from 4pm until 6pm.

There will be Santa's grotto, a raffle, face-painting and adult and children's tombolas.

ADVANCE notice: The next Chineham woodland conservation session takes place on Saturday, December 13. More details next week.

FINALLY: A reminder for all you scribes out there.

Due to the upcoming Christmas festivities, the copy deadline for the January issue of the Chineham Chat is earlier than usual. You need to get your message to editor Dennis Clapp by Tuesday at the latest.

Dennis can be reached at 21 Reading Road, on 472720 or via e-mail at dennisclapp@compuserve.com
