HAMBLE ASSC old boy Robbie Cox returned to Folland Park and scored the opening goal for his new club Fareham as they chalked up an impressive 4-0 victory in the third round of the Hampshire Senior Cup.
Cox opened the scoring after ten minutes, thumping the ball home from close range after Lloyd Mitchell's cross had fallen to him and Town added a second seven minutes later through James Barfield.
Ross Bottomley flicked the ball on for Floyd Hamodu to round the keeper for their third after 33 minutes with Richie Way sealing matters with a cracking drive from 30 yards on the hour mark.
The only down side for Fareham was the dismissal of Bottomley ten minutes from time for an alleged headbutt.
"I didn't see what happened but it's a massive let-down for me if he has done that - there are no excuses for that sort of behaviour," said Fareham manager Jon Gittens.
"It was a very good win for us and a very efficient performance by us today - it's important to stay in this competition," he added.
