Can you believe the best new band in the country is made up of a bunch of Spandex-wearing rockers from Suffolk?
Their Bournemouth gig had to be seen to be believed. A sold out BIC was rocked to the core and left screaming for more by this sublime four-piece.
The band have the power and energy of AC/DC, Aerosmith, Thin Lizzy and the mighty Led Zeppelin all rolled up into a huge roller-coaster of sound.
As we are subjected to the blandness of the Pop Idol culture on a daily basis, how good it is to see a band emerge who have clearly played their hearts out in front of their bedroom mirrors for years.
Ignore this lot at your peril. The Darkness are coming out of the shadows and they aren't going away.
