THIS Basingstoke house looks as though it is detached - but, in fact, it stands at the end of a terrace in Kings Road, South Ham.
It was built in the 1950s and selling agent Fox and Sons believes it is being sold on the open market for the first time.
A former local authority home, the property (pictured above) is still in its original condition and needs complete refurbishment.
Interest was so strong, both from private buyers and developers, when the house was launched that its sale has been decided by best and final offers.
The agents received seven sealed bids and the house went to a developer prepared to pay more than the £124,950 marketing price.
Now work will start on modernising the three-bedroomed accommodation which does not even have central heating.
It has an upstairs bathroom and a ground-floor cloakroom and both reception rooms have open fireplaces.
As well as lacking heating, the house also needs new windows and a refitted kitchen and bathroom.
