A NEW anthem for the Saints will receive its official launch at a charity music concert on Saturday night.

Recorded by Southampton band The Score with the approval of Saints boss Gordon Strachan, Play to Win (We're the SFC) is a brass-heavy ska tribute to Beattie and the boys, and is the band's debut single.

The Score, made up of four Southampton friends, will be unveiling their rousing tune at a Music Youth 2000 charity concert at Empire Hall, Totton.

Formed four years ago and previously known as Moosey, the unsigned ska-punk outfit have been entertaining music fans at venues all over the south, and have even followed in the footsteps of the Beatles by playing a gig at Liverpool's legendary Cavern Club.

Saturday's concert will be raising money for Scope, the charity which supports people with cerebral palsy.

Also featured in the line-up are 60s and 70s rock'n' roll cover band The Covernotes and solo singer Deborah Pearce.

To date, Music Youth 2000 has organised six concerts and raised £6,000 for various charities.

Saturday's concert starts at 7.30pm.
