THE new landlord of the White Horse pub in Thruxton has offered to help raise funds for Bright Futures pre-school in Kimpton.
Martin Gobbee is holding a fundraising evening on 11 December with football card games and a raffle for a Christmas basket donated by the Weyhill Garden Centre.
For the next six months Martin is placing a bottle on the bar inviting visitors to donate.
Bright Futures is a small pre-school that relies on fundraising.
The organisers are trying to raise money to buy toys for the children, including a colourful parachute which will build up their upper strength.
The Appliance Centre at Weyhill has offered to supply and fit a new cooker at cost price so the children can also enjoy baking.
Fundraiser Susan Brooksbank said: "It is refreshing to know we are surrounded by supporting local businesses and I would like on behalf of Bright Futures to say thank you."
