A ROMSEY man was among those who died when a helicopter crashed in north Hampshire.

Neville Moger, 45, of Hogarth Close, was one of two passengers in the aircraft which nosedived into a field near Hurstbourne Tarrant - between Andover and the Wiltshire border - on Tuesday.

His family today declined to comment.

The second passenger was named as James Gordon-Stables, 37, of Ludgershall, near Andover.

Ian Shoobridge, 51, from Durrington, Wiltshire, who was piloting the Twin Squirrel chopper, also died in the crash.

Police and officials from the Air Accidents Investigation Branch are now searching fields either side of the A343 for clues as to what caused the crash.

The three men's bodies were removed from the site, which is on isolated farmland, yesterday.
