THEY'RE little rays of sunshine who - despite their youth - have done their bit for charity.
Ten regulars at the Sunshine pre-school in New Milton took part in the national "Toddle Waddle" in aid of the Meningitis Trust, and raised £256.50.
The toddlers chose a bright, crisp morning last month to walk from their base at the Nedderman Centre in Marryat Road to the playground in Doe Copse Way, taking in a nature observation challenge and a session on the swings en route.
Now the athletic efforts of the Sunshine's under-fives have been rewarded. They have all been presented with certificates designed and printed by two dads at the group.
Secretary Jane Morris said: "As a charity-run pre-school we are very grateful to local shopkeepers who help us with fundraising. We decided it would be nice to do our bit for charity this year and try to give something back.
"We chose the Meningitis Trust because under-fives are among the age groups most at risk, and it is an internationally respected charity with a strong community focus."
