SOUTHAMPTON city mayor Councillor Parvin Damani will be hosting a glittering charity event in the city on Monday to help raise much-needed funds for her two adopted charities - SCRATCH and Southampton Voluntary Services.
The event will be staged at Kuti's Brasserie in Oxford Street.
Cllr Damani said: "Both these charities provide very valuable services that benefit literally thousands of people in Southampton every year.
"I am delighted to be able to give something back and support them, and I hope that many people will come along and join me in supporting them on what promises to be a mouth-watering evening."
SCRATCH (Southampton City and Region Action to Combat Hardship) works to relieve the effects of poverty while SVS (Southampton Voluntary Services) is the umbrella organisation for the local voluntary sector.
