Sky TV's Dream Team put the Brakes on British Touring Car drivers - including Salisbury's Alan Blencowe in a charity football match at Northampton's Sixfields Stadium.
The road safety charity Brake is more than £2,000 better off after ex-pro footballers, Sky TV celebrities and top drivers from the BTCC went head-to-head in front of a crowd of over 1,000.
It was a team featuring actors Alex Lawler, Tim Smith and Darren White from Dream Team and former pro footballers, in-cluding Cyrille Regis and Paul Davis, who came out on top.
Four teams took part - and this included The Badgers from Sky Sports' Soccer AM and two teams featuring drivers from the Touring Car Championship.
The two BTCC teams eventually faced each other in the battle to avoid the wooden spoon with BTCC 1, including Vauxhall teammates James Thompson and Paul O'Neill and MG Sports driver Colin Turkington, lined up against BTCC 2, led by former Watford and England striker Luther Blissett and featuring Honda's Matt Neal with Blencowe and his Barwell Motorsport teammate Luke Hines.
Despite goals from O'Neill and Thompson, BTCC 2 won 3-2 to leave their illustrious rivals bottom of the table.
