SIXTIES singer Lulu is to hit the road on a major UK tour next year, including a date at the Bournemouth Pavilion.

The Bournemouth show will be on Wednesday, March 17 and tickets go on sale immediately.

Lulu is the only British female solo artist to appear in the charts for five straight decades.

Perhaps more amazingly, she seems still as hip and full of energy today as when she first hit the charts as a 15-year-old in 1964.

In her extraordinary 40-year career Lulu has worked with everyone from Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Tina Turner, Sting, Bobby Womack and Elton John to the likes of Ronan Keating, Atomic Kitten, Westlife, Samantha Mumba and, of course, Take That.

Now she's celebrating it all with a greatest hits tour and album which will feature pop classics like Shout, Boom-Bang-a-Bang, To Sir With Love, The Boat That I Row, The Man Who Sold The World, The Man with the Golden Gun, her 1995 No 1 smash hit Relight My Fire and many more.
