JUSTIN Rose finished an up and down season with a tie for 44th in the Volvo Masters yesterday.
The winner of the season ending tournament was Sweden's Fredrik Jacobson, who took the 583,000 euro first prize after a play-off with home player Carlos Rodiles of Spain.
Jacobson finished 24 shots ahead of Rose, who might seek solace from a 25th place finish on the Volvo Order of Merit with earnings well in excess of £500,000.
