PROTEUS is proud to present its new season, which kicks off with the Breakthrough Tour What Everybody Wants? (pictured).

This new Interactive Disability Play will be touring to day centres, residential homes and disability groups in the south this autumn.

Local writer James Barry has been commissioned for the winter show, Colonel Cody. James has many years' association with Proteus, both as an actor and writer, and most recently as the writer of the Basingstoke Mysteries, the successful community play presented at the Grange Barn, Basing House, in July.

Colonel Cody premieres at Central Studio, Basingstoke, on Wednesday, November 19. The award-winning theatre project Chaser returns to schools in Basingstoke and Hampshire from January 2004.

Chaser explores the facts and myths surrounding peer pressure, focusing on illegal drugs and substance misuse as a case example.

Following last year's successful tour, the Hampshire Drugs Action Team will be funding a second touring team.

For the final show in the season, Andrew Marshall has developed Ladies That Walk into a full-length piece, Walking Out - a comedy about the tragedy of two very English lives - and a dog.

Walking Out will open at Central Studio on Wednesday, February 25. You can book on 01256 354541 or check out www.proteustheatre.com
