Over 300 schoolchildren took part in the recent Free Golf for Kids organised by the Hampshire PGA at over 30 clubs in the county.
The free two-hour sessions were run by PGA-registered professionals, with the aim of encouraging the youngsters to take up golf. They were given basic tuition and also provided with follow-up information on coaching schemes held at weekends and during school holidays.
"We had a fantastic response and hope to expand the idea in the future," said Hampshire PGA secretary David Wheeler.
