SOUTH coast public relations consultancy LeepeckGreenfield has been appointed by Southampton Enterprise Hub to handle PR and marketing communications.
The Enterprise Hub assists the launch and rapid growth of knowledge-based, high value-added, start-up companies in the area.
It provides a networking forum for local entrepreneurs, offers improved access to research, technology, innovation and business support, in addition to flexible workspace and early stage finance via venture capitalists and business angels.
Longer term, the Enterprise Hub Network aims to set up 30 new hubs across the south-east.
LeepeckGreenfield's job is to help promote economic growth by marketing the service, attract applications from start-up companies who could benefit from the scheme and to encourage outward investment into the Southampton area.
Hub director Stephen Davis said: "The hubs act as a catalyst to harness the drive and ambition of local business people. To be successful it's crucial we promote ourselves and communicate how we can help start-up businesses.
"That's where communications experts LeepeckGreenfield come in, to educate businesses about our existence, what we offer and what we do."
