THE fastest-growing powerboat class in the world comes to the south coast this weekend.
The third round of the national Zapcat Championship takes place at Stokes Bay, off Gosport.
The first two rounds, held in north Wales last month, were cancelled due to fog.
The Zapcat organising body is based in Southampton, and the two teams competing under the Navaho umbrella are both local.
Tony Jones and Paul Cadbury and Paul Ackitts and Chris Audley are the Southampton-based quartet aiming for national glory.
Introduced to the UK in 2001, the Zapcat series concludes off the Isle of Wight in October.
