CHILDREN born at Andover Birthing Centre gave something back by raising money for a new piece of birthing equipment.
The children, now attending Moore Hall Playschool, took part in a family fun day and raised £1,116 in total - £223 of which will go towards a piece of scanning equipment for the birthing centre.
Plates donated by Chantry Centre shop Lucy's Kitchen, were hand-painted by the children and sold in the fun day's sale. Playschool leader Tanya Hampton said: "It was so lovely everyone got involved. We raised at least twice as much as we thought we'd make."
Children from the play-school were invited on a tour of Andover Birthing Centre where they presented a cheque to staff.
The remainder of the money raised will be spent on new equipment for the playschool.
