IT was a busy weekend when the Weyhill Fair Pub in Andover sold more than 5,900 pints of beer at their annual beer festival and won North Hampshire Pub of the Year Award from the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra).

From Friday night to Sunday the pub, the marquee and grounds were packed with people enjoying over 60 different beers, including draught cranberry honey dew and raspberry wheat beer.

The family business, run by Dave Rayner, his wife Jane and daughter Helen, was chosen from 400 other pubs in North Hampshire.

"It was a surprise that we had won because we had won it four times before," said Mr Rayner.
