ANDERS Svensson will be one of the busiest players on Saints' tour of Sweden.
The squad arrived in the country yesterday afternoon for an eight-day tour which includes three matches.
Svensson, as revealed in the Daily Echo last week, was voted the fourth most popular man in Sweden last year.
The international midfielder came in behind the King of Sweden, Sven-Goran Eriksson and Bjorn Borg, who is still highly regarded despite quitting competitive tennis 20 years ago.
Svensson was routinely mobbed for his autograph when Saints played three matches in Sweden 12 months ago.
Boss Gordon Strachan has duplicated Saints' pre-season itinerary in a bid to ensure at least a repeat of last season's on-field playing successes.
In 2002 Saints beat Skellettea AIK 5-0 with goals from Brett Ormerod (2), James Beattie, Kevin Davies and an own goal.
They then came from behind to beat TP47 4-1 with Ormerod, Davies, Jo Tessem and Matt Oakley on target.
In their final match, watched by over 7,000 and including a debut for Swedish defender Michael Svensson, they beat Bodens 1-0 courtesy of a Beattie penalty.
