FEW musicians come with pedigrees like Bikram Ghosh's. The Asian music star's father, Pandit Shankar Ghosh, was a pioneering performer who worked with the Grateful Dead, while in recent years Bikram has been tabla accompanist to legendary sitar player Ravi Shankar.
He also worked with Beatles star George Harrison on his solo album Brainwashed.
Bikram brings his latest high concept show, Rhythmscape, to the Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday. The concert is described by Bikram as "a musical expression of the cultural melting pot that I have come to harbour within myself'' and features a variety of South Asian musicians.
