BRANNIGANS is hoping to score a little more than "nul points" with the punters when Eurovision rejects Jemini perform at the Southampton venue this week.

The duo, who shot to infamy after becoming the first ever UK act to score no points at the Eurovision Song Contest held in

May, will be appearing at the nightclub in Southampton

High Street on Friday as part of a six-date national tour.

Neil Mason, general manager of Brannigans said: "We're looking forward to a great night, when I know our regular party-goers will give Jemini's Chris and Gemma a fantastic welcome.

"We anticipate a lively evening full of Eurovision supporters."

Jemini, who performed the UK entry Cry Baby in Eurovision, may not have done well at the contest, having been plagued with major technical problems on the night and what has been regarded as political voting, but they scored themselves a place in the hearts of the nation.

Their initial performance on Song for Europe generated 100,000 public votes in just five minutes, and the bookies made them second favourite to win the contest.

Jemini's manager, Martin O'Shea said: "They know their performance didn't represent their ability and they know they have a lot to prove. This has given them a platform to do just that.

"Their stage show is excellent and includes a version of their second single which is a definite smash."

Entry to Brannigans is free before 10pm.
