A DIBDEN clergyman has won the Church of England's golf championship.
The 28-year-old Reverend Richard Lloyd won the Kilvert Cup for the second time in three years at Frilford Heath in Oxfordshire.
And he made it a double celebration in the national inter-diocesan tournament by joining up with Matthew LeFroy, Robin Ewbank and Brian Tims to win the Church Illustrated Cup as handicap team winners.
Lloyd is curate of St Andrew's, Dibden Purlieu, while the Rev LeFroy is Christ Church, Portswood, the Rev Canon Ewbank is from Hartley Wintney and the Rev Tims from Whitchurch. They made up the Winchester Diocese team.
They received the Church Illustrated Cup from Harry Tomczyk of the tournament sponsors.
