THIS year's New Forest Show, which runs from July 29-31 at New Park, Brockenhurst, will be even more accessible for the disabled.

New Forest Show Society has worked hard this year to ensure that the disabled can not only park safely near to the showground but can also book on-site power chairs to take them around the show.

The society has also extended the car park area, doubling the number of spaces available for the registered disabled.

The show has also invited Wheels for Freedom - previously known locally as Poole Shopmobility - to attend the show. The firm specialise in helping the disabled enjoy the local shows by providing a range of scooters, power chairs and wheelchairs for hire on site.

Training will be given to all users of equipment and anyone unable to reach their base location within the showground can have a scooter or chair brought to them at the entrance gate of their choice.

However, it's vital that anyone wishing to take up this facility must book in advance by ringing Wheels of Freedom on 01202 661770.

This will help the company try to ensure that all demands are met.
