LOVE was in the airwaves when Power FM breakfast show presenter Rick Jackson proposed live to his long-time girlfriend, Kerry Collins.
Rick, who presents the show alongside Rachel Brookes and Maximum Bob, popped the question on-air to Kerry on her 29th birthday, on Thursday.
The couple, pictured above, who have been together for just over four years are now planning to get married in May next year.
Rick, 30, said: "At 8.15am I played our special song, When You Say Nothing At All by Ronan Keating and then said that I wanted to make an honest woman of Kerry and asked her to marry me. I even got down on one knee in the studio.
"I was nervous waiting for her to telephone the station, but she did and said yes. She was crying and I was really worried that I might start blubbing too."
Rick has not bought Kerry a ring yet as he has decided to let Kerry pick one.
"I would probably get her a cheap Isle of Wight shaped one," he joked. "We are both Portsmouth Football Club fans so it will be a match made in heaven."
