IT was a case of being shaken and stirred by laughter for audiences at Sherborne House School's latest drama offering Blunderball.

All 37 children in Year 6 at the Chandler's Ford school were involved in the James Bond spoof, which was performed to appreciative audiences on two successive evenings.

Set against a colourful backdrop, the comedy - written and directed by the school's head of English, Ann Entwisle - carried the audience along with the intriguing story of a world in which all televisions and computer games suddenly disappear.

Evil Yorick Blofeld is at the root of the dastardly deed but, fortunately, the handsome, suave James Blond is on hand to put the world to rights with his beautiful accomplice Tiffany Trustme.

A school spokesman said: "Blunderball was a joy and a delight.

"It showed how high a standard of dramatic performance children aged ten to 11 years can achieve.

"It can be no accident that on both nights the audience called for two encores."
