Two rivals have settled their row over a controversial election leaflet.
Alresford town councillor, Robin Atkins, took legal action against the former leader of Winchester City Council, Rodney Sabine, over comments made in a Lib-Dem newsletter published in March, 2002.
A statement issued by Mr Sabine states that he has apologised to Mr Atkins and agreed to pay him undisclosed damages and his full legal costs.
