JOE Best lived up to his surname in the Southampton Primary Schools' Cross-Country League.

The Mansbridge pupil won every race to emerge as the outstanding performer of the season.

For the second year running Charlie White won the Lower Schools' Cross-Country Championship for boys. With Hannah Musker heading the girls' rankings, it meant White's school, Charlton House (St Mary's College Junior School), again provided both individual winners.
