A massive £8,753,72 was raised for Cancer Research UK as a result of an intensive fundraising year by a DLO Integrated Project Team in Andover, CASS & ICSS.
Members of Crypt-ographic and Secure Systems and Information Communication Systems Support joined together to take part in various events throughout the year.
The whole enterprise was masterminded by the team's charity committee chaired by Flt Sgt Al Sylvester. The final amount is beyond everyone's expectations and the committee are very grateful for all the help and support they received from staff.
Among the many events organised by the committee were cake days, Yorkshire Dale three peaks challenge, an internet auction, a five and ten kms walk, dress and hat days, guess the money in the jar as well as personal donations, parachuting and two huge barbecues.
