Insurance A's miserable season in the Kings Volvo Southampton Premier Division came to an end with another drubbing, this time 9-1 at the hands of Snows D.

Vincent Uppelschoten and Glenn Wilshere were both unbeaten while Keith Charbit-Middleton only lost to Chris Bone.

Champions Generation II had only Graham Toole and Mikki Sinanan available for their last match against Alpha A - but still won 7-3!

In Division 1, Ordnance Survey A faced the same dilemma against top side Alpha B but Ivan McMorran and Bob Pollard were unable to repeat such heroics, losing 8-2.

The defeat has almost handed the Division 1 title to Alpha, for whom Alister Turner and Alan McAlpine both were unbeaten, as second-placed Waterside B were held to a 5-5 draw by St Denys. The damage was done by a maximum from St. Denys' Dave Dobson and two wins for Barry Dobson.

Even though Waterside D lost 6-4 to Hedge End C, they are one step away from the Division 2 title.

Colin Jones, Tim Saunders and Dennis Cox each won twice for Hedge End but Waterside's cause was helped by Snows F drawing 5-5 with NF Nalgo.

Four Ts C are hanging on to top spot in Division 3, this week recording a 7-3 win over Waterside K with maximums from Steve Lumb and Martin Ceresa.

Hot on their heels are Simmarians, the only team as yet unbeaten in the division, who took four points from a 9-1 victory over bottom-of-the-table Hospitals whom they have yet to play again in a postponed fixture. They could just catch Four Ts but both are assured of promotion.

Waterside H went down 9-1 to third-placed Ordnance Survey B and look destined to accompany Hospitals into Division 4 next season. Three each from Doug and Colin Taylor, two from Keith Nolan plus the doubles gave Survey their four points.

Division 4 leaders Southampton West A have completed their fixtures for the season with two maximum-point victories, seeing off Pirelli B 8-2 and their D team 9-1.

Insurance B overcame Wimpey 9-1 to keep them in second place and fairly safe for promotion. Roger Bradley and Adrian Aldis both returned maximums.
