POLAR adventurer Andrew Cooney, pictured, the youngest person ever to have walked to the South Pole, will be at Southampton Institute on Thursday, April 3 to give a public lecture about his amazing achievement.
The lecture will touch upon all aspects on the expedition, including how he coped with temperatures below -30C and raging blizzards.
The free lecture is being held at 6pm in the Sir James Matthews Building, Above Bar, Southampton. Places can be booked on 023 8031 9650. Andrew carried out his feat to raise money for the Oesophageal Cancer Patients' Association. To make a donation call 01636 830517.
