A HAMPSHIRE motorway was closed off yesterday after a car crashed and burst into flames.
The Seat was travelling eastbound along the M27, near junction five, near the airport, when it veered into a barrier just before 11.30am.
Four men, in their early twenties, escaped without injury before the vehicle caught fire.
Police sealed off the road for about 30 minutes while firefighters from Redbridge extinguished the blaze.
One lane remained closed afterwards while highways workers made repairs.
