Botley Village and Sporting BTC drew a blank against each other, allowing Nursling to move further ahead in the Premier Division title race.

Nursling opened up an impressive nine-point gap above Botley Village with a 4-2 win at BTC Soton. Two goals from Greg King with further strikes from Lee Humby and Darren Sheales secured the three points, while Botley were held 0-0 by Sporting in a match that was anything but a bore draw.

There were vital results at the other end of the table as well with Old Tauntonians gaining a creditable 3-3 draw with Durley. However, they will consider it two points lost as they led 3-1 through an Andy Price double and Alex Hoyle only to be pegged back by Chris Skilton, Alan Darling and Martin Chamberlain. Their plight at the bottom was increased by North Baddesley's continued improvement. They trailed Brendon 2-0 (Paul Joyce and Jake Wilson) but rallied to win 3-2 with Guy Bewick bracing himself to level and Andy Harrington scoring the winner right at the death.

Having seemed dead and buried, Baddesley have lifted themselves off the bottom and on present form could yet beat the drop.
