8 MILE (15): Eminem stars as a poor aspiring rapper who turns to music to try to gain some respect.

ADAPTATION (15): A somewhat surreal movie about a screenwriter who finds himself suffering from writer's block and being distracted by his twin, while working on an adaptation of a non-fiction book.

ANALYZE THAT (15): The sequel to Analyze This, this is a light comedy about a Mobster who feigns madness to get out of jail and goes to live with his former psychiatrist, played by Billy Crystal.

FAR FROM HEAVEN: (12A): See review.

FINAL DESTINATION 2: (15): Thriller about teenage friends who cheat death in a car crash only to be hunted down by the grim reaper.

GANGS OF NEW YORK (18): The setting is New York's five points, the most violent part of the world at the time. The story centres on the conflicts between the Anglo Saxon natives and the Irish immigrants coming into the five points.

HARRY POTTER & THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS (PG): Harry ignores warnings not to return to Hogwarts, only to find the school plagued by a series of mysterious attacks and a strange voice haunting him.

JACKASS: THE MOVIE (18): A feature-length version of the MTV show in which people perform a variety of dangerous and disgusting stunts. Outragous, obscene and very funny if you like that sort of thing.

LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS (12A): Second instalment of the Lord Of The Rings trilogy.

REVENGER'S TRAGEDY: (15): A Jacobean tragedy set, curiously, in the future, presented in rhyming couplets.

SOLARIS (12A): A thinking person's sci-fi movie in which a bereaved psychiatrist comes face to face with a seemingly living version of his dead wife. The movie explores issues about God, guilt and relationships.

STAR TREK: NEMESIS (12A): The Enterprise is diverted to the Romulan homeworld to negotiate a truce, until the Federation soon find out the Romulans are planning an attack on Earth.

THE GOOD THIEF: (15): See review.

THE HOURS (15): Nicole Kidman dons a prosthetic nose as doyenne of the Bloomsbury group, Virginia Woolf, in this thought-provoking offering written by playwright David Hare.

THE RING (15): This remake of a Japanese cult sees a cursed videotape set journalist Rachel on a race against time. Despite hearing that anyone who watches the tape dies seven days later, Rachel can't resist taking a peek. She then has to solve the riddle of the tape before she too falls victim to its curse.

THE WILD THORNBERRYS (U): A big screen spin-off from the kids cartoon series, the film sees Eliza Thornberry go on the trail of poachers.
