There's good news for users of River Park Leisure Centre, Winchester.
The city council has decided not to put sports facility charges up.
They usually rise by at least the rate of inflation but, after negotiations with DC Leisure, the company operating the centre, it has been agreed that no increase will be made this year.
"We are keen to promote full use of the facilities and keeping prices down is one of the ways we can do this," Thrse Evans, cabinet member for community services.
"This is good news for customers and there are no additional costs to the city council because of the contract we have with DC Leisure."
Although leisure charges are not going up users will still face some changes as car parking charges will be introduced later in the year at the centre.
