Winchester-based charity, the Hampshire Children and Families Forum, has been awarded over £25,000 by the Community Fund to help raise awareness and training.
The charity is holding a free event on Friday, March 28th, at Winchester Intech for over 200 parents and professionals working with children from across the county.
The focus day will provide workshops on everything from bullying and emotional literacy to technology and music.
As a result of the event, which coincides with the charity's third birthday, HCFF will host further meetings with a view to developing projects in the interests of families and children in Hampshire.
There is already a huge number of organisations attending the event, from county councillors to parents, but there is still time for people to book a free place, which includes lunch and the opportunity to see Neil Griffiths, the founder of the National Story Sacks Project, in action.
To book a place or find out more, phone Louise Andrews on 01329-832433 or e-mail andrews@lferrier.freeserve.co.uk
