A man has been charged with wounding and robbery after a Winchester man was stabbed last week.
Neil Jerrim (29), from Southampton, appeared before Basingstoke magistrates on Tuesday in connection with the assault on 58-year-old Brian Butt, near his home at Fabers Yard, Staple Gardens, Winchester.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Monday.
The injured man has been released from the Royal Hampshire County Hospital and is making a slow recovery, according to police.
Detectives say one witness came forward following last week's appeal - but they are still looking for another suspect. He is described as white, in his late 20s, about 5ft 10in, stockily-built and with fair, receding hair. Ring Winchester CID on 0845-0454545 if you can help.
